The event was attended by owners and managers of medical institutions that strive to develop their medical tourism business, and representatives of travel agencies, insurance companies, legal professionals, government officials.

Mykhailo Gordievych, PhD in Neurology, Medical Deputy Director for the Kozyavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic, took an active part in the discussion and offered a brief outline of how work with international patients is structured at the Clinic and drew on some aspects that should be paid special attention by medical service providers in order to remain competitive not only in Ukraine but also in the international market.

The central objective of the event was to gain a clear understanding of the prospects for the development of medical tourism in Lviv Region, as well as to develop clear guidelines. Participants focused on the experience of Ukrainian clinics and how it works abroad, legal and marketing aspects of the development of medical tourism, and the role of local authorities.
