June 24, 2019, Kuwait City, Kuwait – With the aim of establishing specialized rehabilitation clinics in Kuwait that will care for CP patients using the internationally accredited “Kozyavkin Method”, VMRC organised a conference in collaboration with Kuwait Life Sciences Company (“KLSC”) and with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Kuwait, to officially announce the planned introduction of the “The Professor Kozyavkin Method” to Kuwait.
This being a major milestone in an effort to improve the quality of care for CP patients in Kuwait in line with the strategic initiatives set under the New Kuwait 2035 National Development Plan and builds on similar practices in the United Arab Emirates and soon in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The conference was attended by H.E. Al Sheikha Sheikha Al Abdallah Al-Sabah, Honorary President of Kuwait Handicapped Club, Dr. Oleksandr Balanutsa, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the State of Kuwait, and Dr. Fawaz Al Refaee, Assistant Undersecretary for Healthcare Support at the MOH, as well as major healthcare stakeholders and key opinion leaders from the Ministry of Health (“MOH”), the Kuwait Handicapped Club and the General Authority of People with Special Needs, who showed tremendous interest and support in establishing a specialized clinic in Kuwait.
Professor Volodymyr Kozyavkin said: “After caring for many Kuwaiti patients in Ukraine, we look forward towards establishing a footprint in Kuwait and having the opportunity to treat patients in their home country near to their families and communities. It is my honour to represent Ukraine and Ukrainians. Our people are very talented and always ready to share their knowledge and experience. I am proud to be Ukrainian by myself.”
