The annual Conference on Cerebral Palsy in Moscow

V anniversary interdisciplinary scientific and practical conference with international participation "Cerebral Palsy and other movement disorders in children" took place in Moscow on October 26-27, 2015.

 

The annual Conference on Cerebral Palsy in Moscow

This conference was jointly organized by the Health Department of the City of Moscow, All-Russian Society of Neurologists, Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Psychoneurology of Health Department of the City of Moscow, Institute of Innovative Rehabilitation, the National Association of Experts on Cerebral Palsy and related diseases, Charitable Foundation for Children with Cerebral Palsy "Step together".

The conference brought together leading experts in the field of neurology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, neonatology, physical therapy, psychology, defectology and other specialties from all regions of Russia.

At the first plenary session with the report "Prevention of Childhood Disabilityā€¯ the conference was opened by Professor Tatyana Batysheva, chief part pediatric specialist on medical rehabilitation of MOH of RF, chief part pediatric specialist on neurology of the Health Department of the City of Moscow, Director of the Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Psychoneurology, President of the National Association of Experts on Cerebral Palsy and related diseases, Honored Doctor of Russian Federation, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

The report "Early intervention in newborns with disorders of the nervous system" of Giovanni Cioni (Italy), the President of the European Academy of Childhood Disability, Professor of Child Neurology and Psychiatry of the University of Pisa, has caused a lively discussion.

Results of the application of intensive technologies in the medical rehabilitation of children with organic lesions of the nervous system have been presented in the report of Professor Volodymyr Kozyavkin (Ukraine), the Chief Specialist on the Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Director of the International Clinic of Rehabilitation.

The report of Oleh Kachmar, the Head of Department of Innovative Technologies of the International Clinic of Rehabilitation, on the application of virtual reality technology for the correction of motor disorders in children with Cerebral Palsy has aroused the audience interest.
