The research team of the International Clinic of Rehabilitation has completed a randomized clinical study regarding the effects of biomechanical spine correction on spastic muscles in patients with cerebral palsy.

The essence of the study, carried out under experimental conditions, lies in comparing the effects of biomechanical spine correction (experimental group) and a placebo controlled trial (control group) on spastic muscles and hand movements in patients with cerebral palsy. The Neuroflexor apparatus is used to assess the effects and obtain quantitative spasticity indicators, which significantly increases the accuracy and reliability of the final results. It is a double blind trial, that is, neither the patients nor the experimenters know which group the patient belongs to.

This study continues the work done by the research team of the International Clinic of Rehabilitation, published in the December issue of the American Journal of Chiropractic Medicine

The preliminary results of the study confirm that spasticity is reduced after biomechanical spine correction is applied to patients with cerebral palsy.
