The book provides information about the influence of Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation System (Kozyavkin Method) on the respiratory function in patients with various forms of cerebral palsy (CP).

Respiratory Disorders in Children with Cerebral Palsy

The issues of frequency, aetiology, disease pathogenesis and influence of associated syndromes on its course are discussed. It is shown that respiratory dysfunction accompanied by latent or obvious breathing insufficiency relate directly to the level of motor disorders and are typical for CP patients. The positive effect of Prof. V. I. Kozyavkin Method on the respiratory function in patients with CP is demonstrated. The book comprises the Respiratory Exercises Catalogue to be used in complex treatment of patients with CP.

The book is intended for paediatricians, family doctors, neurologists, rehabilitologists, speech therapists, specialists who work in medical and social rehabilitation, in rehabilitation units and cerebral palsy centres.
